After a relaxed walk in Omiš we will have lunch. Our voyage will continue towards Pucisca.Pucisca is the biggest village on the island of Brac an entirely different experience. Nowhere in the system of towns and villages in Damatia does terrain play such a compelling role as in Pucisca with its spectacular irregularity of the steep-sided natural harbour, its authentic Mediterranean architecture and rustic ambience; the fjordlike inlet meets three narrow valleys that descend from the hills to join those quiet and beautiful waters. Pucisca Quarry was exploited in the Antiquity; the reopening of the quarry took place in 1455, unused since Roman times. It was from this quarry that stone was excavated to build limestone columns of the White House in Washington DC, The Parliament house in Vienna and many other famous buildings all over the world. The only Stonemasonry school in Croatia is located in Pucisca where students carve sculptures from Bra? limestone with traditional and unconventional tools that have been used here for centuries.

Enjoy another tranquil and relaxing day as we smoothly glide towards Korcula Island having a swim break en route. In the afternoon hours we will arrive in the town of Korcula. Due to its advantageous position in the Adriatic this town used to be a playground for the rich and powerful. Local merchants left behind their deep imprints in Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance palaces, the most significant being the 14th century cathedral of St. Mark. You will find yourself in front of the town walls and the historic town gate, a reminder of glory and power of this little medieval place. It is just down the street that the famous traveller Marco Polo was born in 1254 coming from a noble family of Korcula town. You can savor all the uniqueness of Korcula by strolling its cobbled, narrow and shady lanes where you will find handcraft stores and shops with jewellery made from local coral germs.
